Environment of Auvergne
The campground is within walking distance of the idyllic village of Blot l’Eglise, with the Puy de Dôme in the background. In the village are: village store, artisan bakery, knife and pen maker, hairdresser, old church and not to forget the artisan huilerie.
This is an oil mill that, among other things, makes nut oil (delicious on salads). About 2 km from the campsite is a sheep cheese farm, a riding school and an art gallery, all of which are well worth a visit.
The area has a wealth of unique landscapes, many (crater) lakes and rivers, volcanoes, churches and castles and a wide variety of leisure possibilities. This makes Puy de Dôme an area full of surprises for young and old, where you can make a thousand and one discoveries.
If you want to know more about this area read the book “Enchanting Auvergne” by Gabi Bertram.
